SAFETRACK® Pin soldering system is a unique patented soldering method for applying electrical connections to steel structures. The method is often used to apply signals and earth connections in the railway sector as well as for the application of cables and anodes in cathode protection systems for pipelines, ships and the offshore industry.
A special soldering iron containing a silver solder (melting temperature 650 ° C) that melts into and under a specially made cable lug and creates a silver connection between the wires in the cable and the steel structure that you solder on.
Silver solder joints provide an extremely low transition resistance, only this property is often sufficient for many railways to use the pin soldering method.
Pin soldering is thus a soldering method where the base material does not melt down, unlike welding.
SAFETRACK®’s soldering method is not only one of the safest methods for both the operator and the base material, but also the most economical fastening method thanks to the fast installation time, low work material cost and the fact that the working group can work regardless of the weather.
In addition, very short training time and automated system.
Battery powered. No need for external power source in field.
Low temperature. The only molten part is a special silver alloy. Melting at 650 ° C (1200 ° F)
Safe for the material. It’s a Silver Brazing Method. Does not melt the working material as welding methods do
Works in all weather conditions. Rain and snow are no longer a problem
Achieve broken groove detection, caused by the drilled hole for the joint bars, by attaching rail bindings to the side of the rail head
Fast, the brazing process takes only a second and the whole preparation takes less than a minute
Economic
Safe for the operator
Corrosion free
No need for special moulds
Easy. Automated 1 second process
